A LITTLE MASKIBOO STORY
The duet with a listening verse
Echo Eclipse sang duets with a lively shadow. During rehearsal, the two voices kept trying to finish each other's lines. Echo wrote a verse in which one voice sang while the other simply listened.
The answering melody became richer because it had heard the whole thought. At the performance, that quiet exchange drew the warmest applause. Echo bowed, then waited for the shadow's bow too.
